Actor Goes From Killer to Professional Casanova

Actor Ha Jeong-woo has gone from cold-blooded murderer to a professional Casanova whom women pay to be with.
In his new movie, “The Moonlight of Seoul” (“Beastie Boys” in Korean), the actor plays a man who serves drinks and dances with women at a host bar.
The role is a substantial departure from the brutal killer he played in the hit thriller “The Chaser,” which attracted five million viewers nationwide.
In “Moonlight,” Ha plays Jae-hyeon, who lives for the day, talks big and tries to con people. While using his roommate/girlfriend to get 50 million won, he brings other women to their home. Instead of being driven away by his brazenness, plenty of women seem eager to vie for his affection.
To perfect his role, Ha said he read interviews of 200 men who worked at host bars and met some of them. He told the Dong-A Ilbo, “Some of these guys are real professionals. They know how to get their clients to open their wallets. They even have detailed manuals to win their hearts.”

An actor’s ultimate goal should not be a TV commercial
Ha Jung woo, the actor of the years greatest Korean blockbuster ‘Chaser’, drew attention setting his goals clear as an actor.
In a recent interview, when Ha Jung woo was asked, “Will you continue to appear in low budget movies even after you become a high guarantee actor even in the commercial world?” he answered, “I will undoubtedly give up my guarantee and appear in the movie. I don’t think the ultimate goal of an actor should be a TV commercial.”
He went on to say, “I believe it is important for an actor to achieve goals and set records through a good piece of work. I don’t think it is right to focus on commercials for the money.”
Ha Jung woo, who says he is happy that he was offered to star in a coffee commercial thanks to his popularity gained through ‘Chaser’, will appear this time as a host manager Jaehyun in the movie ’Beasty Boys,’ a movie about male hosts. Yoon KS and Yoon JS will act with him, and the movie will be released on the 30th.
